As I write these words, I’m filled with a sense of fulfillment and gratitude for the incredible journey I’ve had as the Oklahoma Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Secretary. This term has been a whirlwind of experiences, challenges, and growth, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.

From the outset, I must acknowledge the remarkable team that stood shoulder-to-shoulder with me throughout this adventure: Makayla, our steadfast president; Thomas and Mason, the vibrant vice-presidents who brought laughter and camaraderie to every meeting; and Madilynn, our resident comedian whose quirky anecdotes kept us entertained. Not to forget Natalie, our beacon of positivity and fountain of random facts, and Aspen, a quiet individual with a unique creative flair that added depth to our proceedings.

Together, we embarked on a journey fueled by passion and determination. We conceptualized and executed initiatives that left a memorable mark on our BPA community. The BPA Quality Chapter Tour, a testament to our commitment to excellence, saw us traveling the state, igniting enthusiasm and fostering connections at every stop.

For me, this term has been nothing short of transformative. As someone who once grappled with stage fright and shied away from the spotlight, I’ve emerged as a confident communicator, thanks to my teammates’ unwavering support and encouragement. The chapter visits, workshops, and presentations have not only honed my skills but also deepened my appreciation for the power of collaboration and mentorship.

But beyond the achievements and honors, what truly defines my term as State Secretary is the bond we’ve forged—a bond grounded in mutual respect, shared aspirations, and a commitment to excellence.

I was fortunate to have an incredible support system throughout my journey. My sister, Mollie, stood by my side, enduring my speech practices. Mrs. Frank, my advisor, was unwaveringly dedicated to helping me achieve greatness. Additionally, both of my parents have been incredibly supportive since day one.

As my term draws to a close, I am filled with a profound gratitude for the opportunity to serve alongside such extraordinary individuals. This may mark the end of my official tenure, but our journey towards greatness is far from over. I extend an invitation to my fellow Oklahoma BPA members: let’s continue to write our story of success, resilience, and camaraderie, for the best is yet to come.
