The Konawa chapter has taken volunteering to a whole new level, they’ve been volunteering the Oklahoma Special Olympics Winter Games since 2018. Their contact is the organizer of the location and they help with bowling at the planet bowl in Midwest City, as the chapter has been with the same group every year.

“My BPA members have a great time working with the kids at these events,” says Advisor Shelley McGehee. “It’s neat to see the participants grow up through the years, and it’s a very rewarding experience.”

Students at the chapter look forward to the event every year. Special Olympics is a part of BPA, the Konawa chapter shows how getting your chapter involved can have a great impact on the community.
